Description
Dallay Khorsani — Red Cherry Pepper Chillies
Dallay Khorsani is Sikkim’s famous round chilli. Unlike the long, tapering chillies more commonly seen across India, Dalle chillies are small and globular, and they are prized for a fierce heat that is considered aromatic and slightly fruity rather than merely sharp.
They are a proud part of the region’s food culture and a familiar condiment at Sikkimese meals.
Character
- Round, cherry shaped chillies.
- Pronounced heat with an aromatic, lightly fruity edge.
- Traditionally served as a side or an accompaniment.
How to use
Enjoyed alongside rice, momos, dal and curries. Add in small amounts — a little goes a long way.
Storage
Follow the label’s storage advice and always use a dry spoon to keep the product fresh.
